PIT.Ua as a Union of Information, Communication and Business Technologies Professionals, draws your attention to the fact that ІТ-industry is one of the most perspective industries all over the world and particularly in Ukraine. The growing role of women in this sphere is the guarantee of industry stable development and social balance of Ukrainian society in general.

The bright features of ІТ are onrush and update of technologies each 2-3 years. A woman who decides to give a birth to a child takes a risk to lose the profession during the maternity leave due to lack of adequacy of the professional skills.

The State and society must help them. PIT.Ua within the framework of the international social project "Decisions For Life" conducted a campaign of questioning working women of ІТ-industry for the purpose of discovering their basic needs and requirements. We bring to your attention the most important needs and appeal to you, the leader of our government, with a request to contribute to their satisfaction:

• Flexible work hours - possibility to work unperformed hours in suitable time;
• Convenient work place - modern information technologies allow women to work from home;
• • Renewal and/or rise of the proficiency level during maternity leave - professional development courses paid by the organization/ the State;
• Decent work terms - a comfortable workplace: arm-chair, cosy table, sofa for rest for expectant mothers.
